Stone Mountain Park

Stone Mountain Park is far from the average Atlanta amusement parks. The center piece of the Stone Mountain Park is one of the largest quartz domes to be found anywhere in the world. The quartz dome is home to the biggest bas relief carving in the world. The carving pictures Confederate Civil War figures, Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis and Stonewall Jackson. The affairs of the park include hiking trails, overnite campgrounds, miniature golf, Stone Mountain Breathtaking Railroad, Summit Sky Ride (a tram ride to the peak of the mountain),Sky Hike, Snow Mountain, Friendly Farmyard and the Duck Ride. Other entertainment incorporates the 4-D theater, a spectacular laser light show, museums, and masses of restaurant dining and shopping locales as well as cozy hotel accommodations. Zoo Atlanta

Endangered animals like the giant Pandas and their newly born pups, Sumatran tigers, Clouded Leopard, orangutans, and several species find sanctuary in the Asian Forest. Zoo Atlanta is home to the Orkin Children?s Zoo, animal life shows, shopping, dining, and the new KIDZone.

6 Flags Over Georgia

Six Flags Over Georgia, is 290 acres of the fastest roller coasters at any of the theme parks in Atlanta. The park is home to an exciting collection of roller-coasters named the Goliath, Mind Bender, Dare Devil Dive, Rattlesnake, all guaranteed to produce screams. There is a big variety of other rides include the Dahlonega Mine Train, the Mini Mine Train, Batman: The Ride, and the Georgia Cyclone. The younger kids will enjoy a ride on the Carousel, bumper vehicles, and the swings. The park has an enormous choice of dining locales, shopping, and hotel accommodations. Atlanta Dogwood Holiday at Piedmont Park

Every spring the Dogwoods bloom and an art festival has marked the occasion for over 70 years in Atlanta. The Atlanta Dogwood Festival, held in Piedmont Park, pulls each conceivable kind of artist and artistic endeavors including painting, sculptures, jewellery, photography, pottery, and a load more.
