With the number of problems, hardships, and issues in the world today, it is no wonder why many have lost faith in humanity. So many people have gone off to the wrong path and have not found their way back. It is through having a hope in Christ that so many people have found their way back to where they actually belong.
Nowadays, it is so hard to believe in such idealistic concepts like faith or hope anymore because it does not sound realistic. The reason why people believe faith is unrealistic is because they think it is wishful thinking. However, faith is not about wishing something to happen, but it is about believing that things can work out when you Trust in God.
People are easily fooled by others which can really make them lose their entire trust in the human race. When they lose trust in the world, they lose trust in everything including themselves. With this kind of mindset, it is no wonder why many have thrown themselves away.
The world itself is already a very scary place because there are so many things that are unknown to human beings. The only thing that can give a person courage in this world is faith. Faith is the essence of human life and if a person has no more hope, then he is already dead.
When facing adversaries, God has always told his children to come to Him and seek protection because there are some things that humans just cannot take. The book of Psalms will always emphasize that people must put their trust in God and He will do the rest. Since he created people, he promises not to leave them in the dark.
Once God takes over the wheel, then it is possible for anyone to do anything. The New Testament will emphasize that ever since Jesus has paid for the debts of the human beings, no one will be left for dead anymore. The death of Jesus was the new found hope that people can hold on to so that they can be able to deliver themselves from the suffering of the world.
When that little spark of faith continues to burn, then love will flow in. A person will then learn to love himself, the people around him, the world, and most importantly, God. This love for everything will naturally make him a happier and more optimistic person. Through this happiness, he will be more willing to do good unto his fellow men and will be able to live a more righteous and peaceful life.
So having a hope in Christ will not only turn the situation of a person around, but it will also make his life better and more righteous. However, it is up to the person if he would want to do something with his life. Hope was given to him but it will be his choice whether he would want to hang on to it or not. After all, God is always ready to embrace his children when they come back.
