The terrain in the country can be demanding and the people organizing the tours will adapt a route to suit the riders ability. Roads and paths from the cities lead to hills, mountains and jungles. The scenery is forever changing on this epic journey.

The country is probably best known for its temples. Near the outskirts of Siem city the Angkor Archaeological Park is most certainly a place to visit. There are many ruins to see but, out of all the temples Angkor Wat is the largest. The Khmer civilization still has the modern day world in awe of its construction style and the jungle and large trees growing around the stone work makes the place mystical.

Where the river Tonle Sap and Mekong confluence, Cambodia's capital city lies. Divided into three regions, Phnom Penh is the largest city in the country. In the small streets are markets displaying all kinds of wares hotels and restaurants. French colonial architecture still remains in the south of the city from the days when the French colonized Cambodia and to the north a suburban area.

Sihanoukville is surrounded by a dozen islands off the Gulf of Thailand. This beach resort is an ideal location for a spot of relaxing. A great place to take time to explore a few other activities such as fishing, snorkeling and diving. The beaches are clean and sandy and the sea is clear and warm. The city comes to life in the evening with the flavors and smells of Asia enticing people into the many restaurants along the beach.

Virachey National Park is located to the north. Jungle areas and grassland are home to tigers and elephants and other wildlife. There are small settlements surrounded by streams and waterfalls. Nearby the Yeak Laom is a volcanic huge circle lake in the Ratanakiri area surrounded by a huge forest. A place to relax have a picnic and enjoy a swim.

Crocodiles, fish and rare breeds of birds are found in the fresh water lake, Boeung Tonle Sap. The people of the area live in floating villages where the buildings rise above the water on stilts. It is a great place to mix with the locals and enjoy the culture.

Don't expect luxury overnight accommodation. The guesthouses are basic and on occasions a local family may offer a place to eat and sleep. Travel light on the trip with a change of clothes that can be washed through. Although riding gear is provided it is sometimes better to take your own so as to feel comfortable whilst riding.
