Las Vegas - A Worthy Destination For New Year's Eve

Christmas and New Year is generally vacation time for most people across the western world and everyone really gets into the festive mood by Christmas. However, it is New Year's Eve that is the biggest and most awaited night of the year. New Year's Eve is celebrated in many different ways around the world, so whether you prefer house parties, or a cocktail party or just going out out locally to a bar or club, then there is heaps of options for you to party on New Year's Eve. However if you really want to go somewhere special for a massive party this New Year's Eve then you should choose to go to a few specific destinations around the world.

There are plenty of hot destinations around the world available for New Year's Eve parties, such as Goa in India, Phuket in Thailand, Sydney in Australia, Cape Town in South Africa, New York and the "Sin City" Las Vegas, in the USA. Tokyo and New York are famous for their legendary parties. Thailand is the place for beach lovers to enjoy New Year's Eve amidst waves and water. Venice is for food lovers as it offers a wide range of food with never ending variety and cuisines. New Year's Eve in Las Vegas is for the hardcore party lovers who like to let their hair down all night as well as enjoy a bit of gambling.

The best places to stay in Vegas is the casino hotels on The Strip. If you have never been to Las Vegas, the main street of the city, Las Vegas Boulevard, or more commonly referred to as The Strip, is absolutely stunning and flooded with mind blowing casinos. Some of the best are MGM Grand, New York-New York, Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Excalibur, Luxor, Venetian, Paris, Circus Circus and many more. Each one is different as they all have their own unique theme throughout the hotel and casino. So if you want to see real lions go to MGM Grand, Venice's beauty is replicated in Venetian, they even have a Gondola ride! If you enter Paris, whatever the time is, you will feel its evening as its interiors are done using a blue-sky theme. If you have kids with you then go for Circus Circus as it has plenty of activities for kids. Las Vegas has a lot to offer if you decide to spend New Year's Eve there. It is known as a place to party throughout the year so imagine the fun you can have when its peak party time.

But I hear you say that you're not into gambling and casinos are not for you, well there is more than just gambling in Vegas. What is that you want to see and do? How about a show? There is plenty of shows for comedy, family friendly and adult themes to cater for everybody. Some of the more popular shows in Las Vegas, are the many from Cirque Du Soleil, which includes O, KA, Mystere and Zumanity. Another really interesting show is Blue Man Group, or if something more adult is for you, try the Crazy Horse and many more. Las Vegas is also known for its many hip and happening nightclubs for you to party at all night. Some of the bigger and better ones include Marquee, Tao, Ghostbar and Haze, but there are heaps to choose from. You might even want to consider spending New Year's Eve in the old downtown area of Vegas for the Fremont Street Experience, which has a huge canopy with a LED display built over the street.

A New Year's Eve in Las Vegas will be an experience you will remember for a lifetime. If you're lucky enough and try your luck with gambling you might even cover the cost of the whole trip. But hey, always remember, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"!
